Re-configuring Your E-Mail Settings
Remove Messages from Server After Downloading

To conserve space in your E-Mail account, you should remove messages from the mail server once you have downloaded them with your E-Mail program. Doing so will ensure that you will not exceed your mailbox space quota. Unfortunately, many E-Mail programs default to saving downloaded messages on the server, which can cause quota problems for you after receiving E-Mail for a period of time.

The instructions in this section will help you to configure your E-Mail program to remove the messages from the mail server once it has downloaded them successfully.

Please select your E-Mail client from the list below:

What E-Mail Program Do I Have?
If you are unsure of what program you are using for E-Mail, follow these steps to find the name and version:

  1. Open the program like you would normally to get your E-Mail.
  2. Click on the Help menu and then click on About [program name].
This should open a window displaying the name of the program and the version number.
